Vocal Assessment and Placement

We are always looking to add voices to our choir. If your girl loves to sing or wants to learn how, join us!

Auditions are year-round and always free!

No formal choir or music experience is necessary. As we are a teaching choir, an audition is not about whether your singer will be accepted, but is a vocal assessment for placement purposes. It lasts about 15 minutes and is very low-pressure. There is no need to prepare a song, though you are welcome to do so.. One of our directors will ask your singer to match pitch by playing a few notes on the piano for her to repeat a cappella (without accompaniment) and also assess her vocal range. Afterward, we will have time to go over our program and answer any questions.

Singers are placed in the appropriate choir ensemble based on consideration of age, music skills, vocal maturity, and general readiness.

​Girls younger than age 6 are accepted at the director's discretion.
